Recent Updates
Note: As I teach my own personality course this academic year (Fall, 2006; Spring, 2007), I am updating and adding to the site.
For example, I am updating some of the downloadable lectures. This Spring 2007, I am working with Theme and Variation Lectures. I often have updated those lectures through the semester (see below). Last Fall, I worked with the Overview and Focus lectures.
As another example, when I initially encountered some difficulties generating good tests with the testbank, I spent some time trying to figure out what the problem was, and after I had figured out the issues involved, added some suggestions for generating good tests from the test bank. The updates below track the changes in greater detail.
April 15, 2007
- Corrected Chapter 11 Theme and Variation Lecture by removing 4 redundant slides from the middle section.
March 26th, 2007
- Fixed broken links for Chapters 8 through 12 in the Theme and Variation lectures. They now connect to the proper lectures.
- Rewrote Theme and Variation Lecture 9 slightly to improve the flow.

- Added brief (1-lecture) versions of Chapter 6 and 7 (Mental Abilities and Consciousness) for instructors who may want to cover both together in one week.

- The home page for the site has a slightly revised look to better feature the new student website for the book, which you can visit at www.personalitysystemstudents.com.
- Important: I have added a new set of lectures in the lecture section -- Theme and Variation Lectures. I will be updating these throughout the semester, as I use them in my own course.
December 16th
- The Overview lectures for all chapters have been reformatted and lightly line-edited in just a few places so as to make them more parallel across chapters, and to distinguish them visually from the focus lectures.
November 10, 2006
- important: An on-line student web site for the textbook is now available -- though its content is still being posted (and planned). You now can send your students to the new site for practice quizzes and on-line links. The address is www.personalitysystemstudents.com.

- Added a new focus lecture for Chapter 9 -- "Partial and Conflcted Acts" -- focusing on parapraxes (e.g., slips of the tongue), emotional micro-expressions, and latent/manifest content).
- Some of the material in the "Course Planning" section of the web site now has been divided off into its own section: "Additional Resources." That area has been further developed.
- As part of #2 above, a new section on using on-line web videos has been added.

- Revised the "Lectures" area of the Instructors Manual site so as to better organize the new posts that are in that area. The new organization also more clearly marks the "Download Lectures" area(s).

- Added the essay "Teaching More Jungian Theory than Is Wise?" to the "Lectures" section.
- Added an Excel syllabus date calculator to the "Planning" section.
