Use of On-Line (Web) Videos

11/05/06. Okay, web videos are constantly changing and moving, but here are some hints, and (I hope) valid links for finding some web videos that can be useful in class.

I am just starting this section and so I have covered just a few videos, suitable for just a few chapters/chapter topics here. I hope to enlarge this section in the future.

I have organized them by chapter. Within a chapter, I have provided instructions for finding the video, what the video is about, and a(n) (at-one-time) valid address. If the formatting is funky, it is because the lengthy links often make formatting hard (for me).

Chapter 1: Illustrating Big Questions

Try the web address below and look for the program Full Focus "Cunningham Coverage". The relevant clip is in the middle of the video and concerns the psychology of the current generation of students. (Caution: Students could find its analysis a bit harsh).

http://video.google.com/videosearch?q=personality+psychology&hl=en Full Focus: Cunningham Coverage; Generation Me; Lowriders (encore) 5-17-06

"i" a short film by Chris Ladd. To find the clip, go to

http://video.google.com/videosearch?q=psychology&hl=en

then, search for Chris Ladd. Or, you might try this address directly:

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=6100673231231319089&q=psychology&hl=en

You can learn more from Chris Ladd's web site: www.hirechrisladd.com

Chapter 8: Optical Illusions (search YouTube for your favorites)

Chapter 9: Freudian Slips

Careful Here, Please! Many or all of these clips contain potentially offensive language -- or may otherwise be offensive. Please use in class with care.
